Hello! My name is BK and I am a marketing manager specializing in digital media, brand strategy, copywriting, and marketing strategy. I am a graduate of the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Commerce and Business Administration, a major in Marketing and a minor in Liberal Arts through the Blount Scholars Program. During my time at Alabama, I was incredibly active through multiple student organizations serving in several leadership positions. For two years, I served as  Director of Ambassadors for the Blount Scholars Program and was a founding member and president of Bama Active Minds. As a student, I also operated as a freelance digital media and brand strategy marketing consultant where I learned valuable information about client relations, photography and design direction, graphic design, social media operations, and inbound marketing.

After graduating in 2019, I moved back to my hometown of Houston, TX for a position in Higher Education as an Administrative at South Texas College of Law. At South Texas, I was the Administrative Assistant and Program Coordinator for the Advocacy Program, ranked 4th best Advocacy Program in the nation by U.S. News.  There I gained valuable experience of Higher Ed operations, fundraising, administration, program coordination, event coordination and department budgeting. 

In 2021, I started in my Account and Marketing Manager role at TwinEngine. In this position I have managed up to 10 clients, providing direction and strategy for all brand identity, marketing, website development, social media campaigns, email marketing, and sales and marketing integration. Working in the account manager role, I have gained incredible experience in team management and project management and coordination. At TwinEngine, I assist in leading client progress meetings and presentations, conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly marketing reports, coordinate and plan quarterly and yearly strategy summits, provide direction and strategy for client marketing campaigns, and also manage SEO, Google Ads, Paid Social Media campaigns, and client CRMs (HubSpot).

 

Some of my accomplishments in this role include: 

TECHNOLOGY AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES SECTOR

  • Increased a client's website sessions by 114% from 2021 to 2022

  • Increased a client's Paid LinkedIn Ad Impressions by 1,728% from 2021 to 2022 with no budget increase

  • Increased a client's LinkedIn engagement by 1,000% from 2021 to 2022 

  • Worked with TwinEngine team to develop a full rebrand for an international organization including creative strategy,
    messaging strategy, and brand identity

  • Worked with client's team to plan and coordinate an international 3-day event consisting of 50+ attendees and 8
    professional speakers

CREATIVE MEDIA SECTOR 

  • Assisted in developing a rebrand strategy from start to finish, particularly developing the messaging strategy for the client 

  • Developed a full brand launch campaign consisting of social media, email marketing, and internal Town Hall event 

MARKETING SECTOR 

  • Worked with the creative team at TwinEngine to a launch TwinEngine's new book - Stand Out as a Thought Leader, incorporating email marketing and an end-to end social media campaign

  • Bama Houston was named the 2022 Out of State Alumni Chapter of the Year

From 2020 to 2023, I was a member of the Bama Houston Alumni Board serving first as a Marketing Director, then as Director of Young Alumni and then was elected in April 2021 as the VP of Marketing. 

I am passionate about helping small businesses, social media, the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, spin classes and Yoga,
and writing.
